Eyemodule2 with Rayovac NiMH??

Hi,

Just bought an Eyemodule 2 for my Deluxe, and it looks like it's gonna be eatin' my regular alkalines.

Seems like it may be a good time to move to rechargeables. The new Rayovac 1-hour NiMH recharger seems to be good. The Rayovac batteries it supports are reportedly 1600 mAh.

Has anyone used this type of battery with the Eye2? Do you think they'll have enough strength to power the Eye2 for a decent period of time, without it complaining about the battery power being too low?

TIA!!

BTW, here's one FAQ from the Rayovac website:

Q: Does the 1-Hour NiMH Charger charge all batteries in one hour?
A: The new 1-Hour Charger charges fully drained 1600 mAh AA and 700 mAh AAA NiMH and AA and AAA NiCd in one hour. Lower mAh batteries and partially drained batteries charge in less than one hour. It can also charge one NiMH or NiCd 9-volt battery in less than 3 hours. This is faster than any competitive 9-volt charger.

I have an Eyemodule2 for my Visor Platinum. I also use Rayovac AAA NiMH. At first I thought I had heard that the Eyemodule2 had problems with rechargable batteries, but so far I have not found that to be the case.

Hm....

I use the Handcam and the same batteries. I don't seem to notice a problem. But then I usually end up switching back to my Memplug and don't leave the Handcam in long term...

Hey, thanks for the reply. However, I thought the Platinum was rechargeable, meaning it had a built-in battery. Does it alternatively take AAAs?

Your thinking about the Pro about the internal batteries. Platinums did not have internal rechargables.
