-- Visor in stores in LA area? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=1129)

Question

Traveling to Los Angeles in a couple of days, and coming from Europe I plan to buy a Visor while I'm there (guess Handspring still don't ship outside US...) Anyone that can advice me on where to get one?? Which store and where in LA, etc?
Thanks!

Chris

Unhappy

Unfortunately the Visors still aren't being sold in retail stores as far as I can tell by visiting the local stores (Circuit City, Best Buy, CompUSA).

If you are in the states long enough, why not order one from their web? Mine arrived in LA 4 business days after I ordered, with standard shipping.

Lightbulb

Call your hotel, and see if they will accept mail for you in advance of your arrival. Also, check to see if they will forward mail to you after you leave. If the answers were "Yes", order now from the Handsrping web site, and have them ship to your hotel.

If you are staying at a hotel that caters to business travelers, this shouldn't be a problem. If not, or if the answer is "No", then suggest that you may have to modify your travel arrangement to stay at a more business friendly hotel . . . that should work.

I word of caution... I seem to remember someone saying international credit cards were NOT being accepted by Handspring... not 100% certain though.

We'll the web site also says they dont accept checking credit cards, I used one anyway, and just got my Visor today. So it may be worth a try to order anyway with an international credit card. Don't they work the same way?
