WinMediaPlayer is available. Doesn't make it any good.
(aside from which, I refuse to switch to version 7 because all my DiVX files would be unusable afterwards.)
I'd have preferred even Real Audio over WMP. Quicktime would have been a much superior choice; it's cross platform and in my experience works equally well on Mac and Windows computers.
C'mon, the Visor is Mac compatible out of the box. Why isn't Visor Central?

Hate to say it, but, agreed.
...to be honest, I don't really like ANY of the major players out there right now, but I'm finding myself using the windows one (those evil bastards got me). They're all SLOW and eat up ALL my RAM, but at least the windows player on win98 seems to run a bit faster...

Hat's off to Kenny and marcus (and anyone else behind the scenes). I though it was a great job (ok, gotta work on the commercials ) and went rather well.

If you didn't catch it live, check out the archive.

Arrow Can't hear it

This feed is useless to me! I can't use Windows Media Player 7 becuase it crashes my computer EVERY single time I attempt to use it. This, I have to stick with Windows Player 6. I feel left out VC!

Streaming WMF is awful. At least on a Mac. How about streaming MP3? That's actually the more universal format anyways...

well, I'd like to, but archived Windows Media Player streaming material works about as well as live Windows Media Player streaming material ... which is to say it doesn't.
The biggest problem I've ever had with WMP is the sound. ergo choosing it for streaming audio is, for me, a complete waste of time. Please reconsider.

!#^#% Windows player!

I had to stop listening to the broadcast last night before Miradu came on, and now I find there's no way to skip ahead to that part. No offence to Graham and Jaquet, but, well, I already heard all that...

Tinny sound?

I had no trouble playing the archive, but it sounded pretty strange--there were these tinny echos that gave the voices a robotic edge.

Anyone else have that issue?

Microsoft is inescapable.

I have Windows Media Player 7, but the feed was only available over MMS instead of HTTP, so I can't get to it through my proxy firewall.

Frankly I'm appalled that there's no non-Microsoft-compatible version. We might as well just give up and go out and buy Pocket PCs and listen on them.

Well believe me WMA was not my idea. I'll ask Marcus about streaming MP3.

Well you know, once you get it set up and happy, Win media player 7 does deliver great osund and video (ANYTHING is better than real!) and encoding's easier than qt.....

Watching some test vids, on my dialup, wmp is so much better than qt in watchign STREAMING video - higher quality, and better sound so. (and yes I'm a kinda windows guy - though I do think macs are AWESOME! I just can't switch over - for example, in buying a new state of the art comptuer for the house (I wish) the home built PC version is 2-3 times cheaper than the G4 version..

Arrow Sucks

VC should have give us the option. MP3 streaming would be much better. Think of how much people VC is alienating by adopting streams for MS Buggy Player 7!
