In retrospect, they appear to be about even. The new desktop will have to wait until it arrives. Current:

So far as I know, nobody knows me; and I suppose as far as it matters, nobody likes me ;^) ; but I figured I'd quit trolling and post something.
My only comment pertaining to this thread is a wonder as to whether anybody has any troubles with modyfying their logon screens and themes. A while back when it was first fashionable to play with such things, I played with themexp.com and some of their themes and logon screens (boot screens weren't available at that time). But I had some system stability problems at the time. I wasn't sure if it was due to the themes, etc I was playing with, but I quit and decided not to bother with it. Well, I'm intrigued again, and would like to know if anyone else has any problems with it.

Wow...mine looks clean yet 'spiffy' at the same time!
That's odd -- the attachment didn't go through!
I'm gonna try a couple things...hang on

What version of windows has that quick launch bar?
quote:I can only assume that you're asking me? It's actually a feature of Internet Explorer that's been there since version 5, IIRC (or maybe 4.0's desktop integration set). Normally, it's part of the taskbar at the bottom right next to the start button, but you can drag it out separately as its own window as well.

I never noticed it before, I'll try that on the laptop later on.
Anyone know how to use Grab? It's not available to take a screenshot.
Just grabbed the beta version of Winamp 3 and a sweet as all get out wallpaper from a friend. So recently my desktop usually looks like this...
No fancy XP, still Win 98 SE

I removed the desktop icons (My Computer, etc.) and added 'desktop' as well as 'quick launch'. Makes folder navigation rather nice.

The CMD(Apple key) shift - 3 worked, but it made a tiff file, anyway to make it a .jpg without having to convert it?
Grab came on this puter, I got it to work once, but don't remember how now
Well.. just got Trillian working again, and I'm so excited I thought I would show off my pretty skin. The box in the bottom right corner is a video plugin for winamp, playing all my music videos on random.... but it won't grab an image of the video.
