-- anyone's visor got a firm screen? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=746)
My screen is quite soft, and I was wondering whether it's like everyone's out there or from a bad batch. Others have commented on this too, so I know I'm not the only one. But are we all in the same boat? Anyone with a firm, hard screen (like the first Palm Pilots)?
Mine is as soft as a babies bottom, and I hate it but am gradually growing used to it.

My screen is soft also, part of it is the clear overlay on top of the screen that doesn't directly contact the underlying screen. Also very prone to scratching, even though I've smoothed out the stylus.
A softie too...
Unfortunately, a product like WriteRight becomes essential on the Visor. The screen just scratches way too easily.
My screen is soft also, but as this is my first PDA, I thought it was normal. I have just seen a Vx's screen and like the harder screen better. Oh well, I still love my GVD.
Well, the best Palm OS screens, by far, and in terms of hardness, were those on the original PalmPilots. Even better, but not on Palm OS devices, are those on some of the WinCE screens. I just checked out the Compaq Aero...NICE! It almost feels like a solid sheet of plastic. It doesn't dent or flex--AT ALL. It also comes with an anti-glare surface. I wish our Visors had screens like that.
