The reason I no longer have my Platinum might be potentially useful to some:

I learned about an 'exchange program' at Staples that amounts to an upgrade possibility. The upshot of it is that I presented them with my Staples receipt for my Platinum (dated Nov. 2000!) and proceeded to get a $322.23 discount on my new Prism. The only catch was I had to get their 2-year extended protection plan for $60. Still, the Prism only ended up costing me $225.64. Not bad.
