I noticed on one of the recent polls here on VisorCentral that most users are wanting Handspring to add more RAM to their next models. I have some good news for those who can bare to part with their machines for about 5 days. Recent models: Visor Prism, Platinum and Edge can be upgraded to a total of 16MB of on-board RAM! That is, no need for a springboard module to utilize a full 16MB of RAM (infact, an additional amount of Flash RAM via springboard will only increase your total amount of available storage to 24MB/32MB).

I had my Visor Prism upgraded at http://www.palmpilotupgrade.com and Tony did a SUPERB job! I sent my 8MB Visor Prism off to him and within about 5 days, I got it back with 16MB of RAM for a mere $149. I have noticed no additional battery drain from the upgrade.

If you are wanting more RAM (for that 18-20% or so who asked for more RAM on their Visor's), then visit this site. I don't know how I made it without it. Today, I can carry a 3MB TealMovie of my daughter and wife without thinking twice about deleting it to make room for something else. Can you?
