-- Wallet Case recommendation: Incipio or E&B? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=11496)

Question

I'm looking hard to find a wallet-style case that I can put not only my VDx in, but also my credit cards and a few bills. I think I've found two cases that suit this purpose quite well:

Incipio's case -- I like their vulcanized rubber case (www.incipiodirect.com)

E&B's Slipper VSR Convertible (www.ebcases.com)

They both are fairly compact, seem sturdy and provide good protection yet allow storage of several creditcards/bills. However, E&B's Slipper is much more expensive (about double the price), and the added features (ability to hotsync within the case) aren't important to me.

Marware (www.marware.com) also makes a wallet case (their CEO Wallet), but it uses velcro to attach the VDx, which I dislike.

So my question is: does anybody have any experiences with either Incipio's case or E&B's Slipper Convertible? I've narrowed down to pretty much one of these two cases, and any additional feedback would be extremely helpful to me. Thanks in advance!

I'll be reviewing the Slipper VSR in the next week or so.

I bought the Incipio case for the same reasons (durability, rigid support, price, etc.) in my search for a wallet case.

I tried it and don't use it anymore. My main complaint is the credit card storage. The spaces for the cards are huge, two cards almost fit side by side in the slot, but not quite. As a result, the cards move around a lot and wear down much quicker.

If this doesn't bother you, I suspect the Incipio case would be a good match. I'm still looking for a good wallet case though with dedicated ID/Credit Card storage.

**Update: I looked at the Slipper Convertible and I think I'm hooked. I didn't realize that there was a case with a detachable wallet! Exactly what I've been looking for.

So, to second Curve, does anyone have experience with the Slipper Convertible? Can anyone answer these questions? If so, thanks!

-Is there a rigid support in the panels of the case?

-What about the wallet of the case? How many cards / dollar bills / receipts can it hold before it gets too thick?

-And how much of a beating can the wallet take before it won't go back into the case properly?

-How is the case held closed?

Mark,
How's that review coming. I'm anxious to hear about the convertible myself. If you want, send it to me, and I'll review it.

In response to your case with a detachable wallet... have you looked at the Extreme Limits case? VisorCentral did a review, and I think there are even some user comments. I ordered this the first day it came out... I am in the market for a case to fit my Visor and Minstrel and am having a hard time finding anything to replace such a great case. I might even buy another and have a leathershop modify it.
