Hi,
I've got a VDx with hackmaster and popup calc, popup favorites and popup notes as the only hacks. And have it loaded to the gills with other goodies (very few games). I have an 8 meg module with all apps but hackmaster on it, I keep the data on the VDx and allow it to backup on sync. When I take the module out with the Visor on or off it will come on and lockup most times. This hasn't been a problem until I scooped up the $25 backup module that Staples had. Now I find that to use the backup module I have to take my 8 meg module out, put the backup module in....reset....then pull the backup module and put the 8 meg module in....reset again. Is there an easier way? I think I'm running all the latest OS and the 8 meg is 1.1. P.S. I just tried the backup module only and in and out, in and out, in and out...no problem, then when I put the 8 meg back in I got "MemoryMgrNew.c, Line:3101, Nill ID" and had to select "reset" to get going again.
Thanks in advance Josh

Read this article. It contains a few tips for general module problems. At least it's a start.

Lightbulb Thanks

Thanks Mark,
You may be onto something....the article you sent me basicly suggests NOT having the module active. I said I had all my apps on the springboard. I moved launcherIII back to my VDx and tried again. Now the VDx resets itself when pulling the module and works properly when inserting it. I still have to tinker with it though because I just pulled the module with the VDx off and it locked up and gave me an error message when I reinserted it. Any other ideas will be a great help.

You might have other apps on the module that hook to the system (like hacks).
