-- Question about the stylus holder! (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=818)
My stylus holder (don't know what's that called) behind the visor is kinda loose! i just want to know is it just me? or people out there that has the same problem? and if it is just me...is there any way i can make it tighter.
My stylus fits ok on my VDx, but on my old palm pro I had to use a bit of scotch tape near the top of stylus to make it a bit more snug.
How loose is your holder? (I know it's not easy to describe, but try. Does your stylus start to slide out of the case when the Visor is inverted?) The Visors' stylus holders do feel a little less secure than the Palms', but, aside from any defect, I wouldn't describe the former as being loose. So if you invert the Visor, there should be no play or sliding out of the stylus. If it is indeed lose, then Walt's suggestion should work fine.
FYI: I've seen the "holder" refered to as the "silo" other places.

mine is not that loose as you guys think, is just is very easy to take the stylus out! I'm just afraid in the future the stylus will start getting loose and loose, then it won't even stay in the stylus holder! is there any way to prevent it other than "scotch tape"
The styli that come in the 5-pack fit a tad tighter than the plastic original stylus. You may feel better about the security of your stylus if you get the 5-pack.

I do have 5 pack stylus! i use them too ...:P
Have you checked that the halves of the case are mated properly and screws tightened?
yup!!! I also tried on all 5 of them! same thing, kinda loose. i guess i just my visor stylus holder is loose! any solutions?
thank you
excuse for the "i" = "is"
jim_liao:
short of opening up your Visor and adding a shim underneath the foam rubber which holds your stylus in place, or sticking scotch tape on your stylus, I think there is nothing more you can do.
Maybe this can be of some help: Jeff Hawkins has said that the foam is the best holder and that it will last a long time, so maybe you can find some assurance in the hope that the foam may not wear further for a long time, thereby keeping the rate of loosening to a minimum.
wrap some scotch tape around the stylus to form a tighter fit in the silo.
