-- Love my stowaway. Anyone else have a problem with Tab? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3713)
I got a Stowaway yesterday at CompUSA in Manhattan. I love it and everyone I show it to, Visor/Palm user or not, is blown away by how neato it is.
I have noticed that the Tab key does not move the cursor as I would expect, though it does seem to do someting, I had to delete several times after I tried unsuccessfully several times to make a Tab. Is this a software driver problem or do I just have a defective tab key?
I do like the fact that you can make some characters with the keyboard that are not possible with graffitti, like 1/2 , 1/4, 3/4 and other special symbols.
Oops! If I had only read the 2nd page of this topic, I would have found the answer: Tab moves to the next field, and to make a Tab space, one must Fn-Tab.
Now I love my new toy even more.
Undocumented character: Ctrl-Fn-e gives the Euro symbol.
But why does Ctrl-Fn-7 give {, Ctrl-Fn-8 give [, Ctrl-Fn-9 give ] and Ctrl-Fn-0 give }, when these keys already exist on the keyboard? Why is (bullet) Ctrl-Fn-W? using 8 would make more sense, analogous to * (asterisk) like on Mac? Micron can be made with Ctrl-Fn-u or Ctrl-Fn-m. Why is Alt-o used for (enya) instead of Alt-n, which makes (u accent)? Strange mapping decisions.
