900/1800/1900?

The difference between a US model and the European model is that the US model have 900/1900 and the European model 900/1800, I have a Treo 180 bought in the US and I live in Norway.
So my question is: is this a hardware or a software fix?

I think its hardware, but it shouldn't be a problem for you its unlikely that all the networks are on 1800 in Norway, the phone will work on the 900 GSM networks
