Question Visor Prism doesn't work with Activelink?

Yesterday I picked up one of the Activelink bundles for a friend from CompUSA ($80 for Visor Deluxe + Activelink... nice deal). When I gave him the box, he told me he didn't want the Activelink module. Being the gadget guy that I am, I did.

So now comes the problem. Every time I plug it into my Visor Prism it crashes. I get a "Memory.Manager.C Line 4390" or something. A soft reset fixes, but if I leave the module in it will just crash again. I've tried hard resetting and completely erasing the memory, but have the same result.

Is this normal? Any thoughts on why this isn't working? I tried to call Handspring to find out if there were any fundamental incompatabilities, but I was just referred to their "pay-per-view" technical support.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Brian

Hey. Good job on picking yourself up a ActiveLink for free . Ive never heard of the module having problems with a Prism, but some software thats on the module might not play well with software on your Prism. Try backing the Prism up (i use my Memplug) and then hard resetting it. Plug the module in to see if it installs everything fine. If it doesnt, then i would think the module wont work with the Prism, but i could be wrong. Hope that helps. If anything, call up the maker of the ActiveLink module and talk to them.

not a bad solution. I tried that this morning. Exact same error. It just seems like a strange one - I will try it with the Visor Deluxe that it came with, and if I get the same error then I will try to exchange it (awkward, though... because the Visor went to my friend)
