-- Cases that hold Visor and module (in my case eyemodule) (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3669)

Question

I figure I'll keep my eyemodule in (until I get a sixpack or something) ... I guess I just wanted to start a forum that says

a) I want a case like the handspring ones, but at 5 3/4 not 5 1/8

and

b) until they do that, what solution do YOU like?

I will be getting an EyeModule today. I have a PalmGlove neoprene case, and I think it will have no problem holding the Visor with the EyeModule in there...I'll let you know once I try it out.

Cool discussion...and please see discussion about Rhinoskin 2000 case as I have the same basic questions.

I have an E B Slipper and will be getting an eyemodule shortly

The Slipper has a little room on top of the Visor and from what I can tell from the dimensions of the eyemodule, the case shouldn't have any problem closing over it. It should also have the benefit of acting as a "lens cap"

mchlwise,

would like to know if the eyemodule fits the EB slipper. Keep us posted.

Cool

I got my Eyemodule, and the Visor fits in the Palm Glove perfectyly with it in the slot. The only problem is, if I want to secure it, I've got to put velcro on the eyemodule or come up with some other technique...

Very cool. Potentially, one can keep the Visor and EyeModule together in the Slipper, and then put that in a Rhinoskin 2000 case so that I can put the whole thing with spare Springboards on to my belt. I've been keeping the Pilot 1000 in Rhinoskin 1000, and it gets slippery taking it out (by just unzipping the top of the case while it's on my belt). Having it in the Slipper helps with gripping the unit, and the lenscover is cool idea.

I'm actually interested in a convenient way to carry additional modules; I will probably keep a 'form-fitting' module like the flash module or 6-pack in the visor when its in my belt case, so I need somewhere to keep the rest of my modules (like the eyemodule, GPS module, ...). I don't want to end up looking like batman with a utility belt, but what use are having lots of cool modules if you aren't able to keep 'em handy?

I don't think Batman's utility belt is big enough for all the toys we're going to be carrying... therefore, how about a Springboard Dufflebag?... two models: with and without wheels! And for the extreme gadget freak, there will be the Springboard Tractor Trailer!

I guess I'll never be able to ride the Space Shuttle AND carry my Visor, too!

Lightbulb

I'm using a tamrac extreme Model 129 Folding filter wallet (available at camera stores) for modem, springboards, batteries, stylii, etc. Has eight pockets with clear plastic windows. Made of waterproof and bulletproof material. All nicely padded. Cost is $20. I can't imagine a more flexible holder.
