Palm OS 3.5.2 H3...FAST LOOKUP!

Did anyone notice that the recently resurrected Platinums have the updated OS with Fast Lookup?! (Thus the theory of the until now lost inventory of Platinums is improbable, no?)

Now the Platinum is kind of a tempting purchase. Even though it sports paltry 8mb, it's faster than the Neo, it has the latest Handspring ROM upgrade, it's only $169, and it runs off AAAs!

The idea of an internal lithium ion battery is great for the short term. But the idea of having to dump perfectly good hardware for which no replacement is affordably available is not very attractive to me. I'll take a AAA-powered machine and NiMHs anyday.

Why, I think I'll buy another Platinum as a backup! (Afterall, the Visor line looks like it's going to fade away. I'm too locked in to this device with all the accessories I have.)
