I would like to know if there is a third party program that would allow me to download my email from Netscape Communicator into my visor? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks to John, I have my answer. Thank you to all who responded

Question

Yeah, me too. It looks like HotSync will work with all the major email programs *except* Communicator. All I want is the ability to write email with the built-in Mail app and HotSync it to my Communicator outbox...

If you go to Netscapes site, look for a smart update link, there's an addon utility from netscape for palm syncing mail/address books

Question

Badkarma, I did not find anything on Netscape.
Do you know the exact address where I can find that?
Thanks a lot.

This add-on comes standard on versions 4.5+up. If you did a typical installation then you can find it in start>programs>netscape>palm tools>etc....

Question

OK, I've got NS 4.7 Messenger synching -- sort of. Not all of my Inbox messages come into the Visor -- usually just one or two, sometimes just the header. I found out that you can select Netscape in the HotSync Mail set-up if you press the 'N' key while in the drop down box. I did all that. I set my NS Preferences to "Use Netscape as MAPI..." and I also set my Inbox Properties to "Select for download". I've even tried using MS Outlook Express in the Mail setup (I heard that it's a 'generic' MAPI interface). None of these things seem to solve the problem. All of my other synching with NS is working just fine: calendar, addresses.
What gives?
Don.

p.s.
Checkout the other topic in this forum called "Another Case of Netscape Messenger Woes"...

Lightbulb

here's the link for the netscape smart update site. just follow the steps and one of the pages will have a selection for palm syncing (i believe there might actually be two things to download) netscape may require you to download the latest version of netscape prior to any of the add ons
http://cgi.netscape.com/cgi-bin/su/intro.cgi

hope it helps you guys out, personnally just waiting for staples, compusa, etc to get visors in stock (supposedely Feb 20th according to another visor site) and to save up the ol pesos to buy a dx

Well, in my case, when I go to the Smart Update page, it tells me that I already have those two pieces installed -- one for the Calendar, and one for the address book. I'm thinking about re-installing them, but I'm not sure if I want to go there... I've got a hunch that that's not the problem.

I was able to synch Win 98 and Netscape 4.7 without a problem - addresses and mail. I didn't download any additional utils.

Did you run the little utility - Start, Programs, Netscape Navigator, Palm Tools, Address Book Sync Install?

Question

I am currently having the problem of only being able to download one message from Netscape. Is there any solution?
