contrast doesn't work anymore! help!

I've had a few bad crashes with my visor deluxe lately, I think due to leaving it in the cold, or maybe misaligned batteries. but now I think that's under control. Everything seems to work now, except one thing: the contrast control.

The contrast is a little on the dark side (enough to cause an annyong slight streaking). I tried to adjust it, but the contrast control won't pop up. I've tried pushing all around the little contrast circle, and all I get is the pull-down menu instead. I've tried re-calibrating the digitizer, and both soft and hard resets, but I just get the same thing.

Any ideas?

I hope your Visor is under some sort of warranty.

But if not, two suggestions:

Call Handspring and see what they recommend

Try to find a program that will open the contrast menu for you - i see this in a few programs, though I forget exactly which ones

Give her a hard reset.

Tried a hard reset? Could be a remnent of an old hack, or some bug from a third party app.

Somehow it seemed to work itself out on it's own in a few days. I dunno how, but not complaining.
