-- Aftermarket memory upgrades (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=7610)
Has anyone upgraded their visor's memory through one of those places that replace the internal memory chips? I know http://www.palmchips.com preforms the service for 114$ including shipping, and they guarantee it for 6 months. Has anybody had trouble with these upgrades?
I would highly recommend STNEcorp.com. It was $90 and I sent mine, ($3.50 3 day ground UPS) and got it back in 5 days via USPS. However, I later had the screen crack and Handspring could not fix and return it. They sent a 2 meg replacement and I had to swap the memory board.
Wouldn't it be easier to take the small loss, unload your visor for whatever you can, and buy a deluxe? Those prices don't seem worth it.
Because the small loss may be more than it costs to upgrade. Why go to the hassle of trying to sell what you have and get a deluxe that comes with a cradle you allready have.
