Question

I am trying to convert a Filemaker Pro database to CSV then to Handbase. I am using Handbase's desktop program for the conversion. When I do the conversion and view it in the desktop program, I only see the data records and do not see the field names. Is it not converting the fields? Do I have to have an already created Handbase db to import my data into? I thought Handbase could just convert the FM Pro db fields and records into it's own format and I wouldn't have to create a new layout with new fields. I am using the trial version. I could use a walk through from a HanDbase expert on exactly how to convert from FMPro to CSV to HanDbase cause there's something basic that I seem to be missing. Thanks.

Nevermind!
I think I got it after a little head banging against the proverbial wall! The fields (listed as field 1, field 2 etc) did appear after a few tries. Would've been nice if they had same name as origin database, but I can deal with renaming them.

Maybe Jfile is a better DB for you since it is supposed to seemlessly transfer data with handDBase. I've been thinking about it. Let me know if either database works for you.
