Cool

Okay...what can I store on the 8 MB module? Which programs can run from there? I have both Daily Bible readings on the springboard and they run fine.

What databases can be stored there? Any time I try to move anything OTHER than a program, I get a warning about moving databases because they can't be edited.

Now...if you can't run programs and you can't change databases, exactly what CAN you do with the module?

Thanks!

You can't run any programs that write to the memory, like databases that you change, games that store high scores, etc. However, there are some databases that can be stored. Databases that you Read Only will run just fine off the expansion. I currently have Handheldmed's Reader, 5MCC2000, Harrison's Handbook and the Merck Manual databases running off of the 8MB expansion. I just had to keep the annotations DB on the internal memory if I want to add anything. This holds true for most DB's.

Cool

Well, I has been my personal experience that of the 70+ programs that I've tried out on my Visor, only about one or two refused to run from the FlashRAM springboard.

I generally have all my applications on the FlashRAM and all my databases on the main Visor unit. With the exception of PeanutPress novels, you can have the reader and the novels on the FlashRAM, all that needs to stay on the Visor is the tiny bookmark file.

I like to keep photo albums and Tealmovie home movie clips on the memory module.

JW: Newbie on the 8 meg Flashmodule thing. SO, when you store those Tealmovie clips, or photo albums, what are the pen/key strokes/taps to get them outta the module, into the Visor for viewing and then restoring them BACK to the module for safekeeping? Is it a hassle? Or can you open from the module (and, er, if you CAN do that. DO you have to access the module, access the data bases and pick and choose?? Or will the album run from the module like it does from the Prism (meaning, scroll keys will work, slide show, etc.) Hate being confused but I'm still a little shady on the whole "You can save data, but you can't write to it unless it's six degrees from Kevin Bacon, unless of course you face west..." etc. Thanks in advance.
