-- Duplicate 'Annual Event' DateBook+ Entries (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2632)

Greetings all...

I am using:
1) Visor Deluxe
2) Intellisync 3.6
3) Lotus Notes 4.5 Calendar (Windows 95)
4) Lotus Organizer 4.1 (Windows 98)

Everything is working great, except for one small data corruption issue that I can't seem to correct easily regarding repeating annual events. Thought you guys might have a suggestion....

I created a series of annually repeating events in DateBook+. Birthdays, anniversaries, etc. So far, so good.

When syncing to one of the machines above, somehow, these annual events were replicated and propogated 30 or so years out into the future. On some days, the events appear more than once.

What I want to do is whack all of these entries so that I can start over, and try to track down how this happened by doing some testing.

Alas! I have discovered that there is no "global find and delete" functionality in the Palm OS. If I use the Find functionality to find all occurrences of the word "Birthday", it comes back with something like 700 entries. I would then have to delete these one by one by going to the date, clicking Details, and then deleting. Obviously not the best scenario.

My question: Does anybody know of any shareware/freeware for the Palm OS that will let me search DateBook+ for all entries that contain a particular word or phrase, and then delete all of the found entries in one shot? There HAS to be something out there like that.

Or, on the other hand, does anybody know how to do this in Lotus Organizer 4.1? If I could do it there, then I could whack the entries in Organizer, and HotSync to the Visor (which would then delete all entries on the Visor).

Any help would be much appreciated....

Thanks,
John
