Question

Does anyone know if you can sync with Mac and/or PC Novell Groupwise?
Thanks!

You can w/ Syncwise software look at www.toffa.com
Or goto Palmgear and search for groupwise.
I think there are a couple of software that will let you do that but they are pretty expensive.

Puma Intellisync works for me.

Yes, pricy, but worth it.

Particularly since work bought it for me.

Intellisync.
This has worked well.
I also had a way to have my job pay for it.

Question

To those of you who use Puma's IntelliSync with Groupwise, are there any idiosyncrasies to this? My wife has G/W at her office, and is seriously considering a Visor after seeing the fun I have with mine.

I don't use GroupWise myself but a friend does. His only complaint about Intellisync was that calendar events that were created in Groupwise had their alerts disabled on the handheld. This occurred regardless of how the default alert was set on the handheld. Other than that it seemed to work just fine.

Lightbulb

Intellisync will not post messages if your GroupWise postoffice is operating in Client/Server mode; and Puma's tech support is just terrible!

I've switched to SyncWisePro v5; and not only does the product work as advertised, but they will answer technical questions in advance of getting your $$$ (something Puma wouldn't do even after they had my $$$). Also, SyncWise will poll more than just your inbox for new mail (so you can use rules to pre-sort your incoming mail). Part of the reason Toffa's SyncWise is so much better than IntelliSync is that GroupWise is all they do. IntelliSync works with multiple products(and works great with Outlook!), but Groupwise support seems to have just been a checkmark on the side of their box kind of thing.

Question

How can I set up Intellisync to synch to another user's calendar (in GroupWise)? The secretary keeps the calendar for her boss & wants to hotsync on her computer -- but get his calendar. Within GroupWise, she can 'proxy' into his calendar -- but when she hotsyncs, it loads her calendar onto his Visor. I'm doing a lousy job explaining this -- but maybe someone knows exactly what I mean.
Thanks.

Unhappy

I'll double check tomorrow, but I'm fairly certain that neither SyncWise nor Intellisync support GroupWise's proxy features.
