Post of Resignation
I regret to inform you that i amno longer a Visor owner, My Smoke Visor Neo is no longer with us; it has gone to a better place after being dropped from 4 feet onto the concrete and bouncing into the pool. Not all is lost though, i still have an 8mb flash module, which has all of my own data on it if i ever choose to buy another Visor(Remember Robocop?) I am now going to buy a new Casio BE-300, though i still have a Palm m100 and a Pilot 5000.

You should take a picture of your dead visor and post it in the Palm graveyard over at www.palminfocenter.com
Alex.
Why go to that (insert hideous sound here) PPC camp when you could get a Sony device!!?? That way, you could keep your data while retaining the power of the palm!!

did the visor smash when it hit the ground? if not, it may still work. i dropped mine in the bathtub. it didn't even have a springboard cover on it when it hit the water.
i took it out, took it apart, and put it in front of a block heater for 2 days. works great.

There is a very subtle difference between a bathtub and a pool (besides the size): the chlorine/chemical level. Drying out an electronic device after a dip in the pool might leave some chemical residue. But that doesn't mean it won't work, you might just want to give everything a good wipe-down with a static-free cloth. I dropped a HAM radio hanheld into a lake once (luckily grabbed the antenna before it went deep-six). I dried it out and it worked pretty good 'til it got dipped under a waterfall (friend forgot it was in his not-so-waterproof backpack).
