Question

When I sync, and the system tries to sync Avantgo, I get the error listed above. In the log details, it states: The PC does not fave a host name or IP address.

I think I have both. What does this mean and how do I fix it. Sync works fine for all but Avantgo- which I reaaly miss!

What kind of internet connection do you have?

If you right click on the HotSyc icon in the system tray, then click on *setup*, the resulting window allows you to enter/modify your connection senarios. I connect via cable modem so under the *network* tab if I click the *TCP/IP* button, the resulting screen displays my *primary pc name* & *primary pc address* (ip address assigned to me by my ISP).

That may be your hangup. Hope this helps.

Later,
albert

I am lucky to have a cable modem also, and my settings are set as you advise. Still, I get the message. My modem connection is via a USB connection. I thought maybe since the cradle is aslo USB, something was off, but that was not the case either.

Any other ideas from anyone??

Bengel,

Have you tried AvantGo's tech support? I understand that they're very prompt and extremely nice.

From AgantGo.com, click the *company* tab at the top o' the screen......then the *contanct AvantGo* link on the left of the resulting screen.......then there's a link in the middle for tech support.

Good luck!

See ya,
albert
