I have actually done just that. After my beltclip holster popped off my belt for the umpteenth time and finally broke (the clip part, that is), I decided to file off what remained of the plastic nubs and stick on a "Micro-Swivel Clip" from http://www.theclip.com/

Now I have a great holster-style belt clip that not only works with oversize modules like the VisorPhone (can't wait!), but also swivels, so it keeps out of my way and doesn't pop off when I get into/out of my car. I highly recommend this mod, even if your holster belt-clip hasn't broken yet!

I did just that even before I used the case for the first time. Makes me wonder why Handspring just doesn't change the design altogether... it would probably sell better with the swivel clip.

What parts do you need to order exactly? Is it just the "Micro-Swivel Clip" or are any other parts required?

When you try to pull your Visor out of the case, does the whole case ever come off the clip? I assume you want the case to be clipped on pretty solid so that only the Visor comes off easily out of the case.

I think I'll get this, I'm another victim of the Handspring belt-clip holster.

Generic clips are available most anywhere cell phones are sold (mine came from Wal-Mart for $7.00). All the clips that I've seen have positive locking devices to keep the button retained... most have some type of push-button to release. As long as the button is inserted into the clip properly, it should not come out under normal circumstances.

I just went to the http://www.theclip.com site (great referral!) and discovered that it's the same clip (and button) that came with my Rhodiana case. Does that mean the Handspring belt-clip holster will fit onto my Rhodiana belt clip?

That would be terrific. I can't wait to get a Visorphone, too, but I've been wondering about a belt-clip case that will hold an oversize module. In fact, I posted that question on VisorCentral but didn't get any solutions as elegant as this one! So now I'll order the Handspring belt-clip holster at the same time as my Visorphone.

Just the 'Micro-swivel clip' should do it. Unfortunately, I've just ordered the new Prism which won't fit in my old belt-clip holster, and they don't seem to have a new one for the prism yet...

I ended up buying an Ericsson one at Radio Shack, it came with both a stick-on button and a screw-on one. If the sticker fails (and it does come off if I keep my Visor clipped when getting into the car and don't rotate it) I'll take the brute force approach: get some kind of washer, and screw the button into it I don't know what part of the case will give after that, but it won't be the damn clip

The stick-on button seems to be holding up very nicely now though, I'm so glad to have my belt holster functioning again.
