Handspring today released Blazer 2.0, a new version of its award-winning web browser, designed to provide Palm OS handheld computers and communicators with fast access to a full range of web content.

In case anyone is interested, while Blazer 2.0 claims to need a minimum of OS 3.5 to function, I have used it for about an hour this evening on my VDx (OS 3.1)! I tried several sites (including VC) and didn't have any trouble at all.

Handango problems

so far the upgrade download on Handango is an .EXE Windows file only, leaving us Mac users in the dust. hopefully, they'll fix this oversight soon... (or they'll never see any of my money ever again...)

SSL Support ?

I downloaded Blazer 2.0 upgrade. I'm unable to access the e-trade home page with it even though it has 128 bit ssl and cookie support. Also am unable to access hotmail with the application. Other than that it seems to work OK. The new bookmark format is great.

Free Upgrade for Visorphone Users

If you got the software suite with your visorphone, you can go to the handspring web page under software and download the upgrade for free. Prior to download it requests your S/N to validate your hardware is registered.
