Sorry, I am not very well versed in computer lingo, and I ma not a computer whiz. Can anybody tell me what the significance of a Multi-Media card is, and what function it will serve in the MiniJam (assuming the product really exists)? Layman's terms please.

An MMC card stores your mp3 files (in the case of the minijam).

Just think of it as a small floppy disk that holds ALOT more info, has no moving parts....and costs way more.
