Keyboard not working, unable to turn beam on

Was having trouble with my Stowaway (v1.2 - can't get new drivers), when I read to turn beam receive off. Well, checked, and it was off. Only problem is, I can't turn it on.

This is a VDX v3.1. Also, I cannot do a regular reset. I have to hold the up button down to do a reset.

Fast help would be appreciated. Thanks

Also, when looking at Prefs, it cannot find the network library, whatever that is.

I would also like to add about the soft reset: it has been this way ever since I got a FlashPlus and BackupBuddyVFS. Did a backup on a card, and purposely did a hard reset (removed batteries) to test it. Didn't realize I needed to put CardBackup on the module, so I had to backup from the computer a TON of stuff (I don't run hacks, unless you consider BigClock or a couple of silly apps (Showtimes - since uninstalled, etc). Haven't been able to do a soft reset since.

I am about to try a hard reset, then installing everything back one at a time until I figure it out. I'll let you know.

Fixed it. Apparently, a program I had called WordComplete, and possibly a game I had.

Thank goodness it wasn't anything vital, especially BigClock and GeekSounds.

Can't start my day without 'Airwolf' or 'The Saint'.

stowaway driver

Cochese,

Did you try Think Outside's web site? I just got v1.9 (had v1.6 before) from http://www.thinkoutside.com/support...driver8427.html

Thanks for that link. What is the advantage of upgrading from v1.2? Now that I got it working again, that is.

I'm not sure which version it was introduced in, but something later than 1.0 (what came on my CD) added a pointer that can be controlled via the keyboard and used instead of the stylus for times when you would need to tap the screen. I haven't tried the 1.9 driver yet, so I don't know if there are any new features or not.

Update: 1.9 requires OS 4.0, so it's useless for us Visor owners. PM me if you'd like 1.6.
