Soundsgood, can't keep tone settings

When I listen to my Soundsgood module I like to change the tone, add some bass and some treble. When I take the soundsgood module out of my Visor the tone settings always go back to their default settings. Then I have to change it back to how I like it!
I know there are only two sliders to change the tone and this is not a big deal but I would like to know if this is normal and if I can do something about it.

Plus > On the Good.com website there is a software download section.
I tried downloading the SoundsGood audioplayer PalmOS application (version 1.0), don't ask me why!
When I install it onto my Visor and run it without the soundsgood module in my Visor, it asks me if I want to UPDATE.
What is this???
It says version 1.0 just like on the module.

Okay I've split the answer into two parts:

1. Yes, it's normal that you lose your tone settings when you take the SoundsGood module out of the Visor. Presumably the SoundsGood does this to really cleanly uninstall itself when you take it out.

2. The software updater on the Good.com website contains the same software that is currently resident on the module. The reason it is there is so that you can reinstall the software onto the module should something go wrong with your module. You MUST run the updater while the SoundsGood is in your Visor because it actually updates the software resident in the module. After that, you can delete the updater. But you would only need to update it if for some reason the SoundsGood's flashed-in software has been corrupted.
