Yo buddy,
Not as easy as you thought! The rebate requires you to buy an Activelink modem! Read the fine lines!

Yeah, only problem is you need to purchase XP. Not only is 98 good enoug but so is 2000 (for non-mac users). I have to say (and I never thought I would) that maybe my next computer will be a Mac.
See the review on TechTV, the only reason they suggest upgrading is if you have Windows ME. I had a computer that came with ME preinstalled and I had so many problems I just dumbed it down to 98 and I solved all my conflicts.
Suggestions are coming up that XP mught be just as buggy as ME was and that you might want to wait for XP SE.

quote:Actually, this particular Visor deal is bundled with the @ctivelink module. Comes with the software and 4 extra AAA batteries for the module. The rebate does not ask for proof of activation so it's obviously a great deal. All that for $80 (eventually).

Yup! It even says so right here.
if you're looking for an @ctiveLink, it's still a good deal and you get a free Visor!
How much faith do you have in CompUSA's rebates?

Well, I am throwing caution to the wind and going for it. I am printing off and copying every bit of documentation for this rebate, just in case. Wish me luck!

Brett or anyone who may know,
Is this Visor a refurb or an older model? It's definitely a good price after rebate.
Thanks.
