I have the same username on my Visor since I had my Palm Pilot Pro. I'd like to change that to a new name instead, but can't seem to find where that option is on the Palm OS itself. I know I've seen it, but where?

Easy. Open Palm Desktop on your desktop computer, then choose Users from the Tools pull-down menu. Click your user name, then click Rename.

Next time you HotSync, your user name will be changed.

Be aware that, if you do this, any shareware you've registered under the original user name will revert back to unregistered mode.

Actually, I believe only shareware that use the username to generate a unique registration code will be affected.

Which is most, but not all, of the shareware programs.

Changing Username on Visor

Try a handy little gem called PalmName.

It only takes up 4 K, and is very easy to change the username.

Renaming the current user did the trick in the Palm Desktop. I'll have to look at the name software as well though. Thanks!
