-- THIS IS MAKING ME MAD! (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=7681)

Posted by Nilbog on 08-28-2000 01:20 AM:

I bought my first visor (deluxe) at Best Buy and returned it because it had a bad memory chip and the screen was streaking really bad. So I get a new one, and this ones screen is also streaking really bad. I compared it to my friends whose is flawless. So Visor central sent me a new one, and it had a bad memory chip, so they sent me yet another one and this one has a streaking screen, and something is messed up with the refresh rate because some colors have lines moving through them.
I don't know what to do. I dont want to take it back because I like it, and it's useful, but I dont want to keep one thats all jacked up.
Suggestions?
Thanks
-Nilbog

Wink

swap it with your friend (without telling him )

Just kidding off course...
You had the worst luck...but if you have a visor with a good memory chip but a streaking screen you can try the streak hack for hackmaster....

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

VisorCentral isn't affiliated with Handspring, and VC can't send out new Visors.

Okay, correction, Handspring sent me a new one, actually two new ones.
Do any of your every have refresh rate problems? Certain colors will have lines going up and down through them? The only way I can fix it is to clock up the cpu, but then my batteries drain like no other.

Question

I'm sure it's just an interpretation issue, but what colours are you speaking of? Mine's just shades of grey...

certain shades of grey. You know what I mean...

Do you have the latest patch loaded on the visor? I would hope that the PalmOS patch from earlier that fixed the streaks would be built into this handspring patch as well.

That would also take care of the memory bug, should you be willing to keep one with that "problem."
