To those of you who have actually seen and held one of these elusive Visors:

How well are they put together? Does the cover go on and off smoothly? Does it feel solid and up to the daily abuse these type of units get?

Briody calls it "a device that feels brittle and cheap". Is he right?

I don't have a Visor, but I do have an original Pilot 5000. Just to give you some perspective on the "fit and finish" angle, the case plastic on my P-5000 has a little give in it, which makes it feel kinda cheap. However, it's stood up to some serious punishment over its lifetime with no damage at all. YMMV.

This review gives a good sense of the construction of the Viosr:

It mentions that the Visor seems a lot more solid than its Palm counterpart.

Truly, this is the best review I've seen of the Visor, bar none! Lot's of comparisons, pictures, and intelligent comments.

Well done!

Wink

Julie always does a good job on anything she reviews. For those of you who haven't seen the the-gadgeteer.com you need to check it out. Always good pictures and complete reviews. She's even done an article on a migratition from Palm to Windows CE and back to Palm that is a must read for anyone on the fence.
