Lightbulb

My Wife has a Palm III and I have a Visor. Can they both be connected to the same computer? I would have to buy a USB cradle for my Visor since the computer has no available serial ports.

Any advice?

Lee

This should be no problem--I've helped a lot of people at work set up both Palms and Visors. You only get some difficulty with 2 serial cradles, because then you have to switch the COM port in setup back and forth. Two USB's or a USB and serial should work together fine though.

Talking keep in mind...

If you are using Palm Desktop 4.0 and Windows 200 you _may_ have a similar problem to what I have. Check out this thread for my solution:

The real question isn't hooking them up to the computer. The real question is how long before the III is filled with a jealous rage and tries to attack the visor in order to keep your wife from realizing just how much better it is...

When I buy the USB cradle, I will take the serial cradle to work. I have Palm Desktop 4.01 at home and Outlook 2000 at work. Has anyone had problems syncing between Palm Desktop 4.01 and Outlook 2000 at two.

Thanks in advance.

Lee

PS Thanks for the warning about the Palm III.
