Back-up Battery

Does anyone still check these forums? I realize our way of life... The Handspring Neo and kind are a bit archaic as of late. However, I have a valid concern. I think the little back-up battery finally called it quits. Does anyone know how to change the little sucker or if it is possible? I doubt any reputible customer service still exists for my little smoke Neo. Anyway... Whatever help would be appreciated.

test the battery with a volt meter and i cant help any farther without more specific symptoms

I'm not sure if the Neo is like the Deluxe, but I know of a couple of Deluxes where the capacitor on the button board went bad - this provided the short-term power to keep the memory intact during battery changes. You might try to locate a replacement button board (don't know if the Neo's button board is different from the Deluxe - sorry) or, as a workaround, use a backup module to save everything before changing batteries and restoring from the module afterwards.
