- Springboard Modules (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/forumdisplay.php?forumid=10)
-- MemPlug CF Module (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=15367)
Portable Innovation Technology has a new member in the MemPlug Series Springboard Modules family.
MemPlug Compact Flash Adapter is a 100% Springboard compatible module which is the ultimate memory expansion solution for handheld visors. MemPlug CF allows user to do storage, backup, video playback, view viewing and ebooks viewing.
Thanks to the 6 self installing softwares PiMover, PiBackup, gMovie Player, PiViewer,CSpotRun(special MemPlug version) and PiPrefs.
MemPlug has the most complete set of build-in apps in which none of our competitors can match.
Price: 49.95USD/unit
Availability: 21st June 2001
What to do?
I was all ready to jump on the Innopocket CF true Springboard announced today, but with the great out-of-the-box functionality of the MemPlug, I may wait for their offering. I think if enough of us check off SD/MMC on the poll PI recently sent out, we may also get an SD/MMC Springboard so we can play nice with the Palm 50x crowd.
I'll sure "play nice" w/Claudia Schiffer, that's for sure ... uh, she IS upgrading, isn't she?
Because, if she's not -- boot -- right out of my bed, do you hear me?

Yay! Competition is a good thing! If they reduce prices just a smudge I would consider this definitely!

It's an ad I don't really mind. As long as it isn't spam I really don't mind in fact. I suppose everyone has a different opinion though.

Well, PiDirect is still in its internal beta.
It will be available for public evaluation on June.
PiDirect, like its name is directly execute readonly program and database on the card like AutoCF.
Instead of copying the whole database to RAM, it just keep those header information in your memory.
We are able to view a 11 MB Tombraider Doc. without any problem. And we can also enjoy TealMovie on the SmartMedia.

We won't hold it against you.

PI is really care about their customers. That's why we put our full force to develop PiDirect.
We are trying our best to investigate how to get around it... I can't promise anything right now.
But we would try our best.
