-- hard snap-on cover? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3174)
I saw it mentioned somewhere that the Visor has a "snap-on" cover. Has anyone seen a picture of this, or can anyone describe it? I assume it's not like the IIIx flip-up cover, but I don't really know what to expect.
Jack:
If you're familiar with the slip-on hard case that was available for the old Palm Pro and Personal, this is what it would be most like. While the "Stetson" slipped on and off with a tracking rail of sorts, the one on the Visor just clips on with the slots at either side of the sync USB port and somewhere on the front of the device. I've not seen the cover, but based on CNN Interactive's detailed article, this is what it sounds like.
Re: case - check out Pen Computing's article - has a pretty clear description of the case - not very favourable but seems truthful.
I've got some pictures of the cover if anyone is interested in seeing them. Leave a response here and I'll see if I can't post them on VisorCentral somewhere or make them available elsewhere...
3D renderings of Visor's cover is now available at http://www.visorcentral.com/visor/a...rrenderings.asp
The "Renderings" were updated yesterday with profile shots of the Visor unit itself. More "Renderings" of the cover attached to the unit were sent in just a few minutes ago but can be seen at http://www.singletrack.net/visor until they are posted on VisorCentral.
