Unhappy Visor Prism Charging Problems

Was given a Visor Prism from a friend who said he hardly used it in ~6-7 months. I tried charging, but a black screen then shut-off. I recently replaced the entire LCM/screen, then when I cradled it and turned it on - viola! a nice, clear, color screen with all icons present. Then it blanked out after removing from cradle. Tried soft reset, hard reset and cradle reset. Nothing by itself, only if it is cradled (sync is fine, using apps seem fine) but remove it and it won't stay on. Nothing seems to be affected - all data remains, etc. From info on this board, it seemed I needed a new battery. BatteryInfo shows Voltage: 0.04v; Percentage: 100%; Battery Kind: Lithium; Voltage Warning Threshold 3.65v.
I've left it in the charger overnight, but it just won't stay on. Replaced the battery with new compatible yesterday. Left it overnite in cradle, still the same results! Soft, hard and cradle reset - still same. Anyone want to venture a guess or suggestion? Another bad battery? Mainboard prob's? Am I missing something important? Can ANYONE help!!? I've had a Visor Plat so long, after seeing the Prism and it's wonderful colors, I'd like to keep it - it's just enough for what I do. Thanks for any help!

Talking Problem resolved (I hope)

After asking around several forums and writing my situation to companies specializing in repairing PDA's - it was advised that it sounded like motherboard problems.
Found a website selling Prism parts and ordered a new motherboard (very reasonable) - I installed it without problems... Wouldn't you know it, my Prism lit up, reset and works great!!!! I've been installing apps and progs left and right - the expansion module (8MB) helps and now I feel relieved. OK, OK, I know I spent some bux on a new LCM, new battery and new MBoard - but hey, I still feel I spent less than what I would for a good used on from Ebay or such. At least I know the "innards" are "new" and working great!

Wink PDA Parts

Though it took some searching, I ended up at this website:

http://www.unityelectronics.com/cat...category_id/100

The prism MB was the cheapest I found. Other parts as well for the Prism. Online transaction was simple, secure and confirmation was immediate. Follow up email confirming shipping also quick. Received within 5 business days.
Again, this is my experience with this company for the first time. So, I'll prob seek them out again for future items.

Thanks for the reply!
