PalmDebugger and USB????!!!

I have a Visor Deluxe with the USB cradle, and I wish to use the Palm Debugger with Codewarrior. After following the steps carefully, including setting the PalmDebugger to USB mode, I get "Serial link error" in the Debugging window after performing "shortcit.2" on the device.

Hotsyncing works fine, its just the debugging through USB.

any ideas? Any developers out there?
