-- Anyone using the 'rugged' cases. (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=7707)
Has anyone ordered one of the 'rugged' cases from Grinder Gear that James posted a tidbit about in news?:

The Expedition looks cool:

but is seems to pose a threat to the visor screen.
I'm kind of interested in one of these "man-purses" as I'm now thinking that with my visor, cell phone, credit/ID cards, $$, and sunglasses/notebook, I really need a bag/case that can carry them all conveniently.
Any suggestions appreciated!

I just picked up the Rhinopak 3000, and I love it. I use it to hold my Visor, Cel phone, glasses, springboards and a few other odds and ends. I got sick of carrying around a big, bulky briefcase that wound up just stuffing junk into. And, you can carry it like a book in your hand and it doesn's look as man-purseish.
A bit pricey at $50, but highly recommended.
i second the r3k vote.
i've been using it for about four months, and i think it's perfect; in it i tote:
) but i'd be able to carry that in the front mesh pocket, as well... when i go out of town, my usb cable goes in the front pocket. i'm also able to carry a zip disk in the back pocket.__________________

I've got the RhinoPak 2000, which is remarkably similar to the most expensive of the 3 "rugged" cases. By and large, it's a great case. See the VC review on it.
I'm currently holding the following in my 2000:
1. Visor
2. Stowaway
3. Backup module
4. eyemodule
5. 3 pair of extra batteries (really holds 2 pair, but I made extra room)
6. Cash - dollar bills
7. Credit cards
8. Receipts
So, if I lose it, I've just about lost my life. But it's a great, versatile unit.
Hope this helps.
Cheap and Rugged: OtterBox2K
I use an OtterBox 2000. I got it for $10 and it protects my Visor extremely well. It's a storage case, not a usage case though. I use this in my bookbag so my Visor gets banged around quite a bit and is fine. I can't stress how much you get for your money with an OtterBox
