-- MAJOR Battery Drain (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=11908)
I have a 2MB Visor model. I recently was able to HotSync it up with my computer after not being abtle to for about 3 months. So, this first thing I do is to start installing some software. Well, my memory usage went from about 35% to about 90% used. As a result of this, my battery life went from about 3-4 weeks to about 3 DAYS!!!!! Is this normal or is there something wrong with my Visor? Or do I just need to take off some programs and have more free memory? Thanks.

Ummm, your memory usage should not make a difference. I only have 190k free out of 8MB and my batteries last 2-3 weeks.
Do you have a springboard that you leave in (some springboards may drain the battery)? Or do you leave your Visor sitting in the cradle?

I have not been doing anything unusual. I sync it up about once a day now that it syncs and that is about it. No overuse, no playing game that much, just looking at the datebook and the ToDo list mainly.

The more programs you have on the Visor, the longer a Hotsync will take. The longer a hotsync takes, the more battery life is used up. Large medical databases that you can download usually remind users to have fresh batteries in their visor before hotsyncing to download the huge files, since if the batteries fail in the middle of a download, the download will have to be repeated and your Visor's memory may get messed up.
Some programs allow you to set them to "NOT" back up during a hotsync. If you can, select that option.
My theory. Not necessarily the answer to your problem, but it may help anyway.
