I successfully installed the beta of IrLink. (Great app!) I was using it happily, until I installed an update of the Palm Desktop for Mac, version 2.5 (from http://www.palm.com/custsupp/macintosh/palmdtmac.html).

Now when I hotsync by IR, I get a message that I must reset my visor.

(This problem was compounded by a second message on the Visor that said it was waiting to receive a beam. I inactivated the beam receive option and the message has since disappeared. Annoying....and perhaps related?)

Any suggestions on a fix?

You'll want to reinstall the Handspring Palm Desktop (Version 2.1H). Visor isn't compatible with Palm Desktop 2.5 (though there are rumors that installing the Serial Port Monitor and the HotSync Manager from 2.1H in the 2.5 folder will work...).
