- How To / Troubleshooting (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/forumdisplay.php?forumid=2)
-- My BVD died also !! (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2811)
On Friday afternoon, i was using the todo list, writing something and suddenly the whole screen starts to freak and there's no way to stop it unless i take out all the batteries(they are low, about 10% only). When i replaced it with two new batteries, only some strange patterns of the screen are on. My BVD is no longer working! Today when i try to replace another new batteries, the whole screen is on! I don't need to turn on the machine although there was no way to trun it on! The backlight is on at the same time! If i got some time, i shall take a picture of that and put that online!
What should i do then?
Ya want to see the pic of that? HERE: http://home.macau.ctm.net/~bensil/

First of all, try a Soft Reset and see if that clears things up. As a last resort, do a Hard Reset... it is possible that you let the batteries get low enough to erase the Visor's memory.

Nope. The screen will be on once i install the batteries! But i can't switch it on! Nothing happens after i do the soft/warm/hard reset! The worst is that i'm now not in US. I may have to mail it back to Handspring tomorrow!
Another thing to try... remove the batteries and leave them out for several hours (overnight if you can). Then install a fresh set and see if that helps. You may want to try a Hard Reset upon installing the new batteries.
If this doesn't help, I'd guess you have a bad unit.

You weren't perhaps overclocking (Afterburner, Tornado, etc.), were you? I've seen this problem before, and that was the cause. Removing the batteries and leaving it alone for 24 hours usually restores the Visor to normal function.
