-- Thinmodem Dongle (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=8990)
CardAccess is now offering the 4" dongle on their website. I ordered one and it arrived today. Basically, it's a short (4", just like they say
) cable with the Thinmodem connector on one end and a standard telephone jack on the other. I think this is more adequate than the 6' cable that comes with the card as it is much smaller, making it much easier to carry in your pocket (or bag). Plus, you don't need to find a jack to plug it in to... just take the cable off the nearest phone and plug it in to the dongle. On the downside, the molded jack on the dongle is a bit large. It would be nice to have one that was smaller and more streamlined which would make it less bulky, but I can live with this.

I received mine last week. Support at CardAccess shipped the dongles to me after I asked when they would be available. I also like the dongle much better than the cord. Now, if I could only find an ISP that I can use just for my Visor and that doesn't cost $20/mo. since I have cable modem service for most internet needs.
Yup, got mine too. I just left my "long" version permanently hooked up at a stratigic location, bought a retractable 3' cord and and popped a rj45 female to female connector in my MP3 carry case.
Sure beats a laptop!
