-- Who wants a free slipcase? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10712)
My Platinum arrived via UPS today from Handspring.
The standard Visor box was loose inside a larger box and free to move around. No packing was in there to keep it in place. Fortunately my platinum arrived intact, and seems to work fine. Poor packing job on Handspring's part!
I was anticipating a simple but useful slipcase, along with my Visor, snap cover, and cradle. What I got is a cheesy stretch-side thing that the platinum doesn't slide completely into. At least not with the snap-cover in place.
Does anyone actually use their slipcase? I want something similar, but with a belthook and top. I'm occasionally caught in the rain walking to my car from work. I don't like the thought that water could get into my visor from the top.
Also, given the tendancy for platinum's paint to rub off, it seems like sliding it in and out of this slipcase will hurry that wear.
Please tell me you found a creative use for your slipcase. I'm not going to be using mine with the platinum. What did you do with yours?

At work I use a beltclip case by Ripoff; any other time I use the slip case that came with my VPL.
I did this
I did This to my deluxe. (Until I got my Prism, Then my only solution was Tactilis)
case
I sort of like the slip case, I don't think you are supposed to use the clip cover and the case simulatenousely

I got the idea from this discussion forum to use the included slipcase that came with my Prism and attach one of those generic belt clips. The clip's post uses that super 3M adhesive. But for added strength I drilled a small hole through the post, un-did the top seam of the case, punched a hole through the case, screwed a small screw from the inside of the case and through the post, and finally sewed up the top seam.
It fits the Prism and the Handspring modem module. I've included pics for those interested.
Total cost: $8

Looks good. Where did you get the clip from?
