Like anyone else, I've had to hard reset my Visor a time or two, which erases the data. No big deal, since I just hotsync and all my data gets restored. The problem is, there are applications that I've tried and later deleted off the Visor; but when I hotsync after a hard reset, those old programs are loaded back on, and then I have to delete them again. How do you tell the Palm Desktop which programs you want backed up and which you don't?

If you delete them off the Visor they are NOT deleted out of the backup folder on the desktop; you have to do that manually.

This is in (default) c:\program files\palm\[username]\backup

Make sure you get all the files associated with the app.
