Visor problem writing to Flash Memory
My Visor, which I have had for about a year, seems to be defective. I was wondering if anyone else had encountered a problem like this.
I own a MemPlug and have no problem reading/writing to the memory card. However, when I tried to update the software in the flash memory I got a fatal error and the MemPlug stopped working. I tried a 8MB Memory Module too and got the same result when trying to write anything to the module.
So I took my Visor down to CompUSA and IR'd the updater to one of their Visors. I put my MemPlug into their Visor and was able to update the software in the MemPlug. I also reformatted the Memory Module with no trouble. So it seems that there is a defective pin in my Visor that will not write to the flash memory of any springboard module I insert. ANy suggestions for a fix, or has this happened to anyone else? Thanks.

quote:It could just as easily (and probably more likely) be some sort of software conflict. Try a warm reset and then attempt to write something to the module.
