What do you mainly use your Visor for?
I mainly use mine for references and going online whenever my Mac freezes and I don't feel like restarting. I'm only 13, so I don't have a lot of PIMs.
Combo of heavy scheduling and Wordsmith....and games and pictures...
Schedule, address book, games, email and writing essays.

You can't make this stuff up... or can you?
Schedule, address book, journal (track phone calls and meetings), e-book reader, chief news source (AvantGo), games, some light word processing, email and web browsing, GPS, occasionally as a camera.
GAMES, GAMES, AND MORE GAMES! and many useless programs i like to keep in case i ever need them, kinda like my room. built in apps i also use. i keep 3 printing utilities in case one doesn't work, even though i have never used it. i keep them in case i need to print something off our school computer. even though i dont bring my visor to school, i would be to embarresed to ask if i could try and see if the visor will print to the printer. i dont write assignments on my visor much.

My most important use is using Quik Budget to manage my finances. That one solitairy application changed my entire life. Suddenly I actually have money left over just before next payday.
My main uses for my Visor are as follows:
Tracking serial numbers, money spent, developers names etc. for all my software/hardware in ThinkDB.
Recording EVERY financial transaction I make however small in UltraSoft Money and synching with MS Money. (I even have an account called 'Money Jar') As my friend Winchell has stated, this has changed my life. I know can see why I have no money. :P
Heavy PIM work in ActionNames . (Used to use Datebk4 and wish I still could but it crashed one too many times)
Reading daily science and parody news in AvantGo .
Keeping a daily (most of the time) journal of the days events in DayNotez .
Keeping track of assignments due and tests/exams as well as my marks in Four.Zero .
Writing essays and other assignments in QuickWord . I tried Wordsmith but I don't like it meddling with my memos.
Oh yeah, memos, I use MemoPlus to write down longer term memos and such.
Creating layered outlines for essays/assignments in ThoughtManager . (this app gets little attention it seems but is an indispensible asset to me) Now I NEVER forget an idea I want to incorporate into an essay as my Visor is ALWAYS at my side.
Finding significant planets/stars in the sky just for fun using Planetarium . Not real important but I've always been amazed by astronomy.
These in my opinion are topnotch applications and I've tried other apps for each of these tasks. I don't even want to guess at how many different softwares have been installed/deleted on this thing in my quest for the 'perfect' combination. If something ever happened to my little Visor I'm not sure what I'd do. Like most of you it is somehow incorporated into EVER part of my day to day activities. Maybe I need to seek help....
Nah...
Ark.
P.S.- What forum are we in again? I apologize for making this into a 'Software' type post but I thought I'd make reference to the software I used to do each task...hehe
We're in General Chat, although maybe I should have put this in Software...
My Primary Uses:
- Datebook
- Address Book
- Keeping lists and avoiding yellow sticky notes
- E-books (current book is Moby Dick)
- AvantGo
- Games (Hearts is what I play lately, but also cribbage, rogue, others)
- Retreive email when out-of-town
- Note-taking for work
- Personal Journal

I do a ton of work related things with my Platinum. in addition to the usual organizer type things and various games,
- manage x-ray equipment inventory, track when I've surveyed a piece of equipment with ThinkDB
- data collection for x-ray equipment surveys, inspections and various other quality control related tasks using Quicksheet
- data collection for research projects using ThinkDB and Quicksheet
- hold various state and federal regulations
- writing and note taking with Quickword
- managing finances with PocketQuicken- tracking all sorts of other little things with ThinkDB like good restaurants, shopping list, my bibliography, gas mileage, car maintenance- reading books
- AvantGo
- Mapopolis when I need to travel
For many of the things I used to use a laptop for, I can now use my Platinum. It's made packing my gear that much lighter.

PIM, Action Names (love those icons!)
Memo Plus
Games - Especially Bubblet (highly addictive)
ThinkDB
Medical Records (Glucose Tracking, Rxs, etc.)
Bible Reader, Prayer Lists
And, just got Wordsmith, so I plan on using for work for meeting notes, etc. with my Stowaway keyboard - woooohoooo!
Barb
Mostly for PIM, email, news (AvantGo) and finances (SplashMoney), though I also use it to keep track of restaurents, hotels and other numbers in ThinkDB.
The best thing about my Visor is that it allows me to use the time that would otherwise be wasted waiting for the bus and also the time spent in the bus and train on my daily commute to work. I spend this time to write emails and read news. So before I reach work, I would have read the days news, as well as send emails to friends that I would otherwise not have time for.

Still at least you get quite a few concepts done in an hour, and a few good concepts goes a long way towards a good original design.__________________
