Get this. My wife and I are traveling sales reps. we both carry Visors. We would like to include each other's schedule on our visors, but dont want a crowded datebook with overlapping appointments. Is there a way of running 2 schedules - perhaps one a less featured app - on the same Visor?

Well, there is www.WeSync.com, a palm application that is web based although I read the user guide and you can beam calendars.

(as you probably figured out by now, only one DatebookDB file-- the database that contains the DateBook stuff-- can reside on your Visor. Keep that in mind when evaluating solutions to allow you to have group calendaring & scheduling on your Visor)

Should the WeSync service become a paid affair, there are a few other options (some require additional software + $$$, others you may already have)...

If you and the better half are using DateBk4, take a look at these cookbook topics on Stephan Engelke's site for a couple of ideas. I'd imagine if you're an Action Names user, something similar can be configured (but I'd confirm this with AN users).

Stephan's cookbook mentions "Time and Chaos", appears to be built from the ground up as a group sharing time management system (aka group calendaring). Windows-based, you'll to also use need to ante up for their Palm conduit software, so it can be an expensive one-time setup. It wasn't clear from the ISBISTER site whether shared calendar information appears in your Visor's DateBook datebase.

Let's see... what else? I believe that with DateBk3 or DateBk4, if you're using Outlook 97/98/2000 on Windows, you can use Chapura's PocketMirror 3.x Professional to sync multiple Outlook calendar information to a single PalmOS device. Just like what is mentioned in Stephan's cookbook, you will have to use categories to separate yours from your better half's datebook information to make for a clean view.

There's one other program I saw... OVERVIEW 2.6b, but the instructions are in German. What I believe this program does is cull multiple datebook information (such as multiple Visor/Palm users on a single PC using the Palm Desktop) into a single "overview" database.

That "overview" database file is then sync'ed to your Visor and you use their Overview PalmOS app to see the other person's datebook information. Your datebook information on your Visor isn't modified.
