Outlook - corporate workgroup & mail

I switched to a corporate workgroup setting in order to sync both Visor and Clie (now only use the Clie). Now when I send/receive my email I am completely stuck staring at this little box. I used to be able to read the other messages while downloading the mail (the little envelopes would dance around in a circle). Being the impatient soul that I am, it drives me nuts to be completely locked up while my email downloads.

How do I fix this? I tried playing around with no success. I usually surf the web in the meantime.

How do I go back to single person mode if I don't plan to use my Visor again (how sad)?
